The HASS Taskforce is a vibrant collaboration between the Melbourne Data Analytics Platform (MDAP) and the Digital Studio, aiming to empower and inspire researchers in the Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS) to embrace the potential of digital methodologies and create communities of practice and peer support.
We offer training workshops, consultation, and curate learning resources on topics ranging from computational thinking to contemporary methodologies for HASS research such as: foundations of natural language processing (NLP), using APIs to query databases and mine social media platforms, and design and conceptualisation of visualisations.
Available to all University of Melbourne researchers, including PhD students and professional staff engaging in research, who identify as working in the Humanities, Arts, or Social Sciences.
Help guide future workshops or training sessions of the HASS Taskforce by completing a short online survey. Contact the Taskforce with any feedback or queries at hass-taskforce@unimelb.edu.au.
