Sensitive research data can cause significant harm if accessed by unintended parties. The Research Data Classification Tool will help you assess and make informed decisions about your sensitive data management.
The Research Data Classification Tool can be completed in 15 minutes and guides you through several multiple-choice questions about your research data. Your responses will allow the tool to classify your research data into one of the four data classification levels determined by the Research Data Classification Framework. You will also be directed to suitable support and resources available at the University of Melbourne.
