Network File Share (Research-NAS)

Network File Share (Research-NAS) is University-maintained network-attached storage for research data and files. Network File Share can be accessed through different methods, including mapping to your computer to allow access to files like a local drive. You can access Research-NAS off campus through the University’s VPN.

Research-NAS allows you to share your research data with other collaborators within the University of Melbourne.

Eligibility

Available at no cost to all University of Melbourne researchers, including graduate research students.

Access

Use the Research Computing Portal to access or make changes to existing projects on Research-NAS. A connection to the University's VPN is required when accessing the Research Computing Portal off-campus.

Please note, no new project spaces are being allocated on this system. Contact Research Computing Services for support and general enquiries, or use the Research Data Management System Finder to determine other suitable data storage and management systems for your research project.
