Intellectual property advice

All research data generated or utilised at the University is considered intellectual property (IP) as per the University’s Intellectual Property Policy (MPF1320).

Disclosing your IP to the Knowledge and Technology Transfer team will provide you with expert advice and an extensive range of intellectual property support services, including the management of patents, licensing, and other commercialisation processes.

All researchers have an obligation to disclose any IP created to the University, that might have commercial value, solve a significant problem, or could be made into a product or service by an industry partner. Early disclosure is critical to protecting your IP for any future potential commercialisation.
