The purpose of ethics review is to facilitate responsible research that minimises the risk of harm to research participants (including any animals used for research), the environment, the researcher, and the University. Animal ethics approval is required for all research or teaching conducted with animals, while human ethics approval is required for all research conducted with or about people, or their data or tissue. All ethics applications (and any subsequent amendments) must be reviewed and approved by the relevant ethics committee before you can commence or continue your research project.
Infonetica Ethics Review Manager (ERM) is the University’s ethics management system used to securely host, track, share, and otherwise manage your ethics applications.
